Just to flow, no obstructions, no resistance, to glide seamlessly through life? Of course, you want life to be a breeze. It would be so nice if everyone and everything would say Yes to you, "Yes, certainly, come right this way." If everyone said Yes to you, you would feel as if you could walk through walls. It certainly would be easy to walk through life. How wonderful it would be if life were a loving servant who anticipated your every need. You wouldn't even have to ask. All of life would become a smoothie prepared for you to drink. Wouldn't you like life to be a musical with gorgeous settings and music and dance? Wouldn't you like all doors to open for you, all wishes granted before you even voice them? Dancers in tuxedos and ball gowns would twirl around you, and you would be king or queen for a day every day. Everyone would sing, "I love you" to you. And you would blow kisses back. There would be no rules, no laws, no obstacles. There would be no set hours. You could walk in the park anytime you wanted. You could sleep under the stars. There would be no such thing as work as work has been known. All would be play. Ring around the rosie. How you long for life to be easy and sweet at every moment! Who wants to go uphill anymore? Who wants to trudge through life? You may want to build things, but who wants to hammer nails? Yet who minds hammering nails when something beautiful comes of it? Who minds knitting a million stitches when something warm and woolly comes of it and you can give it to a child? Who minds doing anything when it comes from the fullness of heart, and at every juncture, you are toasting love in the Universe? Why couldn't life go your way and everyone else's way at the same time? Would it be so hard? What would it take? It would take agreeableness. Well, agreeableness does seem hard to come by. And yet could not agreeableness catch on? Could there not be a landslide of agreeableness? All it would take is everyone's saying Yes. It would mean that the word No would be put aside. Will you take out the garbage? Yes. Will you come over my house? Yes. Will you let me do something for you? Yes. May I help you? Yes. Would you like me to make you supper? Yes. Would you like to go out tonight? Yes. Would you like a cup of tea? Yes. Would you like to go to school? Yes. Do you like me? Yes. When you call 911, they don't say No. They don't give you arguments. Maybe everything anyone asks is an emergency. It is an emergency of love. Love is needed. Whatever the next person you see asks you, maybe you can say Yes. What would happen to the world if for one minute, everyone said Yes? There would be a peaceful revolution. Could there be anything but peace? From one simple word, world peace could come. For a moment or two here and there, everyone would be generous. Everyone would be thinking, how wonderful that I can say Yes to everyone and everything. From then on, everyone who asks something would think twice, and everyone who answers would not have to think. When that day comes, everyone who asks something would be courteous and considerate about what they ask. No one would ask anyone to take drugs or rob a bank. The one word Yes would turn everyone and everything around. There would be no need for anything but more Yes and Yes and Yes.
