If one walks in fear one will die in fear. If one lives in trouble one escalates troublesome results. “Narcissists and psychopaths lack empathy. It is safe to say that the same applies to patients with other personality disorders, notably the Schizoid, Paranoid, Borderline.”

In fact these Patients take everything so personally, due to a severe discontent with their own lives, that they pick their battles derived from their own minds perceptions and dysfunctional lives. They push and pull life to fit their own thought patterns, and if your not cooperative to their perceptions they lash out, harming everyone and everything in site. Pretty much the same pattern that is excreted in their own lives, they use within their dealings with others around them. Is this ego?

From Wikipedia: respectively, "the It," "the I," and the "Over-I" or "Upper-I" Id, ego, and super-ego are the three parts of the "psychic apparatus" defined in Freud's so-called structural model of the psyche; they are the three theoretical constructs in terms of whose activity and interaction mental life is described. According to this model, the uncoordinated instinctual trends are the "id"; the organized realistic part of the psyche is the "ego," and the critical and moralizing function the "super-ego."

It should be stressed that, even though the model is "structural" and makes reference to an "apparatus", the id, ego and super-ego are functions of the mind rather than parts of the brain and do not correspond to actual somatic structures of the kind dealt with by neuro-science.
The concepts themselves arose at a late stage in the development of Freud's thought: the structural model was first discussed in his 1920 essay "Beyond the Pleasure Principle" and was formalized and elaborated upon three years later in his "The Ego and the Id." Freud's proposal was influenced by the ambiguity of the term "unconscious" and its many conflicting uses.

The conflict is internal due to how a person receives instinctual trends, it is never an external process. The Battle is always within, even when dealing with fear and your own illusion of enemies around you at every turn. Fear, is false evidence that appears so real it scares the shit out of you. Here is why there is fear.... There are two extremely false things that we all experience.... Joy and Pain. Why? Because they are derived off of emotions. Why?

“The Ego and the Id" develops a line of reasoning as a groundwork for explaining various (or perhaps all) psychological conditions, pathological and non-pathological alike. These conditions result from powerful internal tensions—for example: 1) between the ego and the id, 2) between the ego and the super ego, and 3) between the love-instinct and the death-instinct.” All internal, not external.

The extremes are are what create the tension and the pendulum ,which swings from dependency on others, to a rebellious break out in word, deed, and action. This create unrealistic assertions... unrealistic life patterns.... and incomprehensible living relationships. In other words I cannot mold you into what I think, feel, and move upon. At the same token, neither can you mold my thoughts, feelings, and what I move upon. Your not God, and neither am I, sorry to say but neither one of us have that kind of power. Thank God.

There seems to be an unrealistic need for relationships that are power based. In these relationships, one provides the strength and one provides the weakness. “Normal people use a variety of abstract concepts and psychological constructs to relate to other persons. Emotions are such modes of inter-relatedness. Narcissists and psychopaths are different. Their "equipment" is lacking. They understand only one language: self-interest. Their inner dialog and private language revolve around the constant measurement of utility. They regard others as mere objects, instruments of gratification, and representations of functions.”

And therein lies the rub. Each of us use, yes even me when in fear or angered, use our egos incorrectly towards a “self – interest.” Whether than an introspection of how to surrender to God's Will.... which lives in the stillness and Peace fullness of our heart. The ego actually was created to assist in choice, not rule the roost of... many times, our childish emotions and their reactions. Joy can be an extreme when it blinds Choice. Pain can be an extreme when it creates any need other than the need for a solid Choice to arise from the heart. Pain is an indication that something terribly is wrong, but can be rectified. Joy is an indication that you may be on the right track, but still may need to surrender even more to God to STAY ON TRACK.

Objects, are things and I am nobodies “object” and neither are you. That is the programming that we all are faced with. That is the real idiocy of most relationships which are formed out of a need for power or to be ruled. If I have learned nothing out of my time here, I have learned this... “dying daily” frees up the need for baseless relationships formed out of one being superior and one being inferior. “All concepts in The Ego and the Id are built upon the presupposed existence of conscious and unconscious thoughts.”

One way to stay conscious is to get conscious. Become aware of your own word, deed, thought, and action. Become aware of your own inner needs and leave everyone else alone. Because in the end it is only you.... alone with your own thoughts and the days activities. At the end of the day, it's all about you. During the day it's about God. The strongest Principle of Surrender is this... if my day is fraught with either too much Joy or too much Pain then I am not centered in what God needs me to be, or say, or do. What I am fraught with is this... what you think about me matters, and this causes one of the extremes to pop up. Now we really creating crap, whoopee!

Rev. Earnest Holmes once said; “It's none of my business what you think about me.” At the same token, it's none of your business what I think about you. And if one makes it their business to worry about what one is thinking about the other, then we get into another problem with being programed on a neurological level..... obsessive compulsive disorders. And here's a thought... if you think I am singling anyone in this writing then the shoe fits. Now the question should be, why does the shoe fit? And why are you so paranoid and feel the need to even react? Get control over the “i” by simply letting the law of God's Love step in. There is a flow respectively, "the It," "the I," and the "Over-I" or "Upper-I" Let the upper I of God be the comforter and respective/perspective handler of the little i. That's how patterns are broken.... not spirits. Be woven in Grace by the maker of us all, not in the making of destruction.
