Compassion
“We control them with a memory of a shared event a global contamination, it keeps them fearful. Of going outside, “the island” is the one thing that gives them hope, gives them purpose.

Everything we expose them to from their programs, their cartoons, their books, the games they play, are designed to manage aggression and reinforce simple social skills. To avoid obvious complications they aren't imprinted with an awareness of sex. We find it simpler to eliminate the drive altogether. In a very real sense their like children, educated to the level of a 15 year old.” From the Movie: "The Island"

You ever get the feeling that relationships wind up being stunted in growth because one person just refuses to grow up. Grow up and stop relying on the Government for hand outs, the Church for Spirit, your Family for handouts, and your Spouse for simple recognition? Do you know what real “global contamination” is? It's that little world between your ears, the one with voices that keep saying “you need....”

Whatever you think “you need” in another, you don't. Oh yes, yes, yes.... Then there is Love. Let's talk about Love.

Wikipedia's LogoWikipeda defines Love as: “Love represents a range of human emotions and experiences related to the senses of affection[1] The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction. This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states. and sexual attraction.
As an abstract concept love usually refers to a strong, ineffable feeling towards another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual. Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.”

It's a “range of emotions.” It's a “range of experiences.” It's a “range of affection,” related to no less,Love by: Mjagiellicz the “senses.” So in this frenzy of “need,” comes a “thought” of aloneness. A lot of unwanted babies gets created from this one aspect alone. Now add this... “variety of different feelings.” Most are so interconnected to “past identities” that you couldn't find right now anywhere in the mix. This moment, is so tied to yesterday, that really now, are you dealing with Joe right now, or Al 10 years back? This “state” of not knowing where you are in the moment produces “attitudes” that range from “generic pleasure to intense interpersonal attraction.”
It's no wonder that; “This diversity of meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.” Love is truly an abstract concept. Why? Because we make it “personal.”

What You SeeIn the Movie “The Island,” you have this vain running through the film of an “impersonal” right NOW experience. So “business” is going on as usual, and still “harvesting” genetic materials for clones then switching to a “Blade Runner” kinda feel a man and a woman run off seeking “a better life?” Oh yes that is supposed to garnish Real Change. Here's a big clue.... Nothing is really changed when we “run off.” Step back maybe, re-access the situation, ponder it for a moment, but common “running off” into God knows where into God knows what?

Yet we run, why? To seek redemption? To seek worthiness? To seek.... what are we doing running, instead of sticking to our ground that we should be nurturing? You know I once wanted a Knight in shinning armor to save me from this plight of being a caretaker. I can say from personal experience that there is no Knight, in fact if I didn't wake up there would be no day. Somewhere I had to find within me, the strength to just stand still with my own feelings, not blame the moon or the starts or the whatever.... And just stand still take my feelings on the chin and deal with it. I had to be again honest with myself first and those around me second.

FlowersMy life now looks like crap, but there have been enough changes to make me aware that as long as I am stuck here, might as well make the best of it on my own. Being liberated from the “struggle” itself doesn't necessarily bring about the butterfly effect. In fact it may do just the opposite. It might stunt me, and that won't (in the end) serve where I must be for now. In this moment, I am needed. I don't have to “like it” either. I don't have to “make nice” or even “be nice” about it. But what I do have to do, is be within the moment, and allow that moment to flow. If it flows to crap, it is what it is, I refuse to be judged for it because the very next moment may present a completely different scenario. So just how badly are we “programed” to think how horrible it is to be in the “now?” Let's see.....

“Everything we expose them to from their programs, their cartoons, their books, the games theyJesus Wept play, are designed to manage aggression and reinforce simple social skills.”

How simple are your skills, I know up until now, mine were pretty simple.
