United In Spirit Site Guidelines
| Six universal spiritual principles common to all people provide the basic guidelines for all members on United In Spirit. |
| KINDNESS |
| Being kind to all life is a choice we can make in every moment of every day--doing as little harm and as much good as we can, given our situation.Tolerance, acceptance and respect of fellow members and their spiritual beliefs. Duress, derogatory remarks, baiting,racism, victimisation or harrassment of fellow members in any manner is not acceptable and will result in an initial warning, then banning for subsequent incidences. |
| COMPASSION |
| By putting ourselves in others' shoes we may understand their struggle. The roots of the word compassion are "to suffer with;" by practicing voluntary radical simplicity, we will better understand the situation of the world's people. Most spiritual traditions extend compassion to all life, the Earth as whole, and the beholder (that's you!). This is extended to all members of United In Spirit without condition. |
| LOVE |
| The intense concern a mother has for her child, and the child for its mother is one example of unconditional love. Most of us entered this world in the space of love. when the child no longer relies on its mother for nourishment, warmth, and safety, the Mother Earth takes over meeting our needs. This space of intense concern can be extended to all life and beliefs on United In Spirit. |
| RESPONSIBILITY |
| When we love others and the Earth we will naturally want to be accountable for our influence on their welfare. In a global economy, truly being accountable for the implications of even our smallest actions is a tall order. If we transition to a bioregional lifestyle where we see the results of our choices ad we cultivate a love for all life, we might be more willing to be accountable. Be fully accountable for our actions towards others, treat others with the respect and dignity, we ourselves wish to be treated with. And with receipt of respect and dignity, we in turn , as members of United In Spirit, take full responsibility for our actions. |
| LIMITS |
| Self-imposed limits and restraints are part of a spiritual life. We can grow to love limits as they focus our energies into positive, helpful activities that do no harm. The only limitations on United In Spirit are those you wish to place on yourselves. All paths and beliefs are welcome, however canvassing for members for other sites or religion based groups in not acceptable. United In Spirit endorses free will and as such all members here have the autonomy to choose which ever path they wish, free from duress and harrassment. |
| FASCINATION |
| To see the wonder and miracle of even the seemingly common things helps us appreciate our brief time on this planet. We draw a breath. . . and then another. . . What a miracle! |
| Every member has the choice to participate in activities or discussions which interest them on United with Spirit, however, most spiritual growth does occur when ideas, experiences and knowledge are exchanged regularly and whilst information will be provided for general use,there are far more ways to make use of this information other then by reading. Several groups have been developed on specific topics to encourage networking and knowledge sharing.Feel free to join what resonates. As an additional request, please when joining a group, consider if you have the time or ability to actively participate. Groups are designed specifically for collaborating, discussing, learning and facilitation of unity within a specific topic. |
| ** Spamming will not be tolerated. Not only is it an annoyance, it does disrupt the flow of energy among members. Spamming is defined as sending numerous emails with the same content, numerous invitations to the same people,any form of harrassment via email or message. As members of this network , everyone has the responsibility to report and alert administration regarding incidences of spamming. |

| Upon joining United In Spirit, there is a 30 day limit in which to complete your profile on your own personal page. This will be strictly adhered to and policed. Non-compliance will result in banning without further warning after the 30 day period is complete. If there are issues with either technical or access difficulties which may affect your ability to finish your profile, please contact any member of the Administration Team for assistance. |

| 1.Vulnerability to hackers is reduced within this community |
| 2. There is some provision of safety for our junior members |

| RULES FOR THE USE OF THE CHATROOMS |
| Inappropriate behavior including sexually orientated discussions, abuse, inappropriate language use of a sexual, racist or derogative nature will NOT be tolerated on any site that is inclusive of United In Spirit (Ning, Wetpaint etc) |
| If a member is found to be involved in such behavior they will be banned with no further correspondence nor warning. Chat logs are maintained and archived on a regular basis and will be used as documentary evidence as needed. |
| The chatrooms on site are provided to encourage interaction and communication and can be a great tool when used with respect and tolerance. |
| Every member on United In Spirit has an obligation to behave in an appropriate manner and as such are obliged to inform administration or myself of any incidences of a suspicious nature immediately. |
| You are the eyes and ears of the site. |
| I will not, nor will my administrators, tolerate nor give any quarter to offenders who breach these rules. We do have some junior members on site and as such need to provide a safe environment. |
